The verb ir (to go) is irregular in the present tense.

vas you go (singular)
va he/she/it goes
vamos we go
vais you go (plural)
van they go

a + el = al
a + la = a la
‘Voy a el cine’ changes to ‘Voy al cine’.
‘Voy a la piscina’ remains the same.


Remember!
· Nouns ending in -o or -e are usually masculine.
· Nouns ending in -a or -ión are usually feminine.
· Nouns ending in a consonant can be either masculine or feminine. Check them in a dictionary.
